Your active participation is crucial in our mission to eliminate homelessness in our community. Among the ways you can help include educating yourself about the issues, educating others, volunteering with a helping agency, donating goods, writing elected officials and contacting local media, or asking your church to address the issue of homelessness.
You are also invited to become a member of the Alachua County Coalition for the Homeless and Hungry. To become a member simply print and send the membership application below.
There are currently two categories of membership:
Agency Membership
Open to the public or non-profit community based organizations in our four county service area that (1) wish to further the purposes of the Coalition and (2) serve or advocate on behalf of homeless persons. Regardless of the number of programs an agency administers, only one agency membership will be granted.
Individual Membership
Open to residents, including homeless residents, of our four county service area who endorse and support the Coalition's purposes. Employees and directors of an agency may join the Coalition as individual members, but shall not have voting rights as long as they are affiliated with an agency member.
